Harvest Festival Willow Wreath workshop
Harvest Festival also known as the harvest home, is traditionally celebrated on the Sunday nearest the harvest moon originating in pagan times. This is the full Moon that occurs closest to the autumn equinox (22 or 23 September). Normally falling towards the end of September, or early October. With the Harvest Festival we give thanks for the harvest and the food that has been brought in and stored for the winter months ahead. Obviously in years gone by a successful harvest was crucial, and that is why we have similar festivals all around the world
£15.00 per wreath choose from a range of colours, either indoor or outdoor and from a avariety of festive embellishments and natural materials around the woodland. It can be as natural or as fully adorned as you like. I will demonstarte how to weave the willow, cut off strands safely with secateurs and then you are free to get really creative.
Also, a chance to purchase some natural handmade gifts from willow wreaths kits handmade by me, with a bag full of goodies to decorat, to handmade wood animals, natural educational gifts and nature shaped blackboards.
